The Cifuentes Partagás 8-9-8 is a pre-revolution Cuban cigar handcrafted by the Cifuentes y Cía family in Havana, using premium Vuelta Abajo tobacco. A Lonsdale format (170mm, ring gauge 43), it’s named for its unique 8-9-8 layered box presentation, often in varnished wooden boxes. Known for its full-bodied profile, it delivers rich earth, leather, spice, and cocoa notes, with a smooth draw and 60-90 minute burn. Post-1960, the family relocated to the Dominican Republic, producing a milder version with creamy, oaky flavors. Vintage Cifuentes editions are rare and highly collectible
